PROLOGUE:
Just recently, my childhood home sold. It was the place I first slept, took my
first steps, lost my first tooth, had my first nightmare, ate family dinners,
played dressed up, and spent...
Jill Bauer-Stetser Fabulous! So much love in that house. I love that you had so much of your childhood writing in there. You make many people very proud!
Brittnie Hutchinson Way to make me cry. Haha. Can you send me copies of most of those pictures?
Tina Rosetti Silva ....beautiful ♥
Linda Sori McGuinness Sandy this is also beautiful. You have done a wonderful job. I give you A+++++++
Paula McGuinness Wiest OMG Sandy this is awesome!!! It made me cry- I'm at a loss - I don't know what to say- fabulous!!!!!!
Nancy Sori Mertz Sandy, I just watched this and it brought tears to my eyes... Very well done and made me very emotional... I polished apples also for your great grandmom nellie (my grandmom) that house holds many happy memories for all of us... xo
Sandra Hutchinson Paula McGuinness Wiest Thank you. There was so much good that was forgotten in that house. I try to remember the times worth remembering! Thank you for your kind words♥
Sandra Hutchinson Nancy Sori Mertz I didn't mean to make you two cry, but, I'm happy it touched you! Polishing apples was one of my favorite memories...Thanks for the comment!!! Check back soon to see the revision!!! BTW,
I think it's amazing so many people can relate to this house. (it still makes me sad it's gone, but this project has helped me to heal) ♥
Sandra Hutchinson Paula McGuinness Wiest Nancy Sori Mertz Michele McGuinness Ginipro Linda Sori McGuinness I don't know if you guys noticed, but on the actual page, where it says three generations, one home, the second picture, of my dad, has pictures of you guys in the backround which I think is apart of the home because everyone had a piece of this house.
Michele McGuinness Ginipro OMG I KNOW IM TALKING TO YOU RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!!!
Michele McGuinness Ginipro IM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!
Nancy Sori Mertz Well said Sandy, there was so much good that was forgotten in that house... I used to spend the night down there and work on the stand before your dad was even born.. I loved it.. When I would spend the night as a child, your great grandfather(who was a sweetheart) would wake up real early with me and he use to take me to the farm to pick up the corn he would fill the trunk of this old car with bushels of jersey corn, then we would go to barnsboro and pick his newspaper up.. buy that time my grandmom nellie was up jolly as could be and ready to make breakfast and then out on the stand we went.... Everyone has good and bad memories in their home... Martha Washington once said, A persons happiness has nothing to do with their circumstances and everything to
do with their disposition.. I think you are a fantastic example of that... ♥
Linda Sori McGuinness OMG! OMG! OMG! Tears and speechless!!!!!!!!
Sandra Hutchinson Love you all so very much♥
Linda Sori McGuinness All I have to say is Jersey Corn and tomatoes, homemade pumpkin pie, potatoes pancakes, pumpkin faces, giant spider web, train platforms, beautiful christmas trees, making easter eggs, easter egg tree, Friday night pizza, playing cards and lots of laughter and love
Michele McGuinness Ginipro Well said MAMA...I remember, The best painted halloween pumpkins, the awesome spider web, Peaches and Peanut butter chocolate eggs from Aunt Audrey and Uncle Eddie at Easter time, and the famous "cooked pepperoni" umm yummy still can taste it. I also remember the bubble lights on the christmas tree, and I will never forget Mommom Hutchinsons smell and her soft skin, the chair in the living room where Mommom would watch QVC or HomeShopping network. Meeting Lisa for the first time and LOVING HER and thinking how adorable and cute her and Eddie were together. The cozy, warm fuzzy feeling I would get coming over for holidays, they always went all out. And of course my all time favorite memory was when Brittnie Hutchinson and Sandra Hutchinson were born, I couldnt wait to come over and play with them!!! Such good memories!!! :)
Sandra Hutchinson I love how our memories are so much alike. It was that house that created these memories and brought them to life. I actually edited the train platform picture out of my slideshow..i shouldve kept it in there!!! But, either way, there was no way to include all the memories. I just adore how much this has meant for all of you--I had no idea...and it really makes me feel wonerful to be connected and to share our memories with each other!!!! <3xo
Nancy Sori Mertz Sandy, I think we all have learned that in the end memories are all we have anyway.. I was saying to my husband isn't it funny how after years go by and family and things are gone its the good memories that we focus on and the bad ones start to fade. Love you sweetie...
